How did you get interested in newporters? Tell me a little about yourself.
I was raised as a boy on a N40K, a gorgeous junk which I later in life lived on for a while myself in young adulthood.

Hello, Newporter enthusiasts!

Thank you for allowing me aboard!  My name is Captain Jack Moore.  While I am currently the Captain of a Contessa 39 known as Saltshaker, I was raised on a Newporter 40k junk known as Wu Wei from infancy.  I know as well as the rest of you that a N40Ks more than just a boat, but a island upon itself, a sailing work of art, and personally for me, a manifestation of childhood dreams and a place of meditation through work and maintenance.  I look forward to providing my…

This is George Henderson, owner of "Faith," Hull #69 located in the Boston area. Just letting the community know that she is on the market since I now live in CO. She is priced to sell and comes with an as-new inflatable dingy, outboard, second set of sails, a mooring in Quincy Bay, and loads of gear.

Makes me sad but I'd like to see her legacy continue. If you know of a potential buyer I can be reached at georgehenderson.usa@gmail.com / 857-221-1581. She is in great condition and has been lovingly restored. There are pics on my members' page and a link to a Google Drive folder is below, where you will find pics and a survey.

Greetings, Capt Jack,

This is the Old Man here saying "Welcome Aboard" because we are always glad to meet another person with our common disease: Newporteritis.  It's incurable but it can be fed to the point of total enjoyment.  Hop aboard and enjoy. . . .

Peace,   Clyde

THE ROSTER

Muf, our Keeper of the Roster, has updated it.  But he still needs information on boats out there that he doesn't have, like new owners, old owners, where any of the boats are.  We don't post the roster on the web site, it is only sent to owners.  Please send him anything you might have, or call him at:

Captain Clyde's Newporter  sites:

newporters.blogspot.com

and

newporter.ning.com

The Ning site has been given a reprieve.   I have  transferred my Ning site to the blogspot site and will leave it there. I am keeping my Ning site open as a home for my photos and drawings.

Many of my photos there do not relate to Newporters, but a search through my collection may prove useful for your studies.

My drawings are not accurate in many respects as a result of the PAINT program used to draw them, There is no accurate scale and at best they are only useful to indicate some specific detail.  Some are inaccurate because of my poor memory.  Use them to help you think, not as a detailed presentation of the subject matter.

If any of you want to start a web site I suggest you remember what has happened to both my Ning site and this site (which is a Ning site) and remember that my Blogspot site is free and Blogspot's owner (Google) has promised to keep it that way.

Clyde's email:

Put 'Newporter' on Subject Line.  Email is the best way to contact me.  I do not regularly look at this site or its messaging system.  Email will get to me post-haste.
