Insurance
Progressive canceled my liability only insurance saying that their policy regarding boats of this size and more than forty years old has changed.
Can anyone lead me to an agency here that will provide liability only coverage.

I had absolutely zero difficulty getting insurance from Boat US - they sourced it, I think, from Continental Casualty if I recall correctly so you could probably go directly to them if you like, but I like Boat U.S.

I have either 300,000 or 500,000 liability only for about $125 a year from Progressive.

I have $300,000 liability only from Boat U.S. They required an out of the water survey because Progressive had cancelled my $28,000 replacement (full coverage) policy in2003 and I decided to go uninsured from 2003 to 2009. So there was a big lapse. Contact Boat US.
This is becoming more and more of a problem though because marinas won't take the old boats (agism) regardless of condition and most marinas won't even let you stay overnight without insurance. There are a few exceptions though.

Boat US $124.00 a year 300, fuel spill, $50.00 for towing, best folks ever to work with. Call them today.

The Ning site has been given a reprieve. I have transferred my Ning site to the blogspot site and will leave it there. I am keeping my Ning site open as a home for my photos and drawings.
Many of my photos there do not relate to Newporters, but a search through my collection may prove useful for your studies.
My drawings are not accurate in many respects as a result of the PAINT program used to draw them, There is no accurate scale and at best they are only useful to indicate some specific detail. Some are inaccurate because of my poor memory. Use them to help you think, not as a detailed presentation of the subject matter.
If any of you want to start a web site I suggest you remember what has happened to both my Ning site and this site (which is a Ning site) and remember that my Blogspot site is free and Blogspot's owner (Google) has promised to keep it that way.
