"Awesome, good luck Bob. Any plans for the winter? The Enterprise is coming out in early October. Not much happening this summer, did visit the whales though. Judy has had health issues."

"Hey George, Glad to see Enterprise again.  I replaced my Keel  plywood as well.  There were a lot of fasteners but pretty small, shot with nail gun. My Douglas fir keel was for the most part in great shape as well. In fact, that is…"

Refastened with bronze screws. The fir deadwood in the keel looks great. Should make it in by mid July. This is our twenty first year with the Enterprise. See More

This is George Henderson, owner of "Faith," Hull #69 located in the Boston area. Just letting the community know that she is on the market since I now live in CO. Makes me sad but I'd like to see her legacy continue. If you know of a potential buyer I can be reached at georgehenderson.usa@gmail.com / 857-221-1581. She is in great condition and has been lovingly restored. There are pics on my members' page and a link to a Google Drive folder is below, where you will find pics and a survey.

George: Good to hear from you. How is Enterpise doing. Last I heard from you was after you were blown off the mooring. I am still working so no trip south for right now. Looking forward to launching some time toward the end of May. Not sure if I will get down your way this summer but let me know if you go north.

You worked so hard on that site too. That really is a shame and not very kind. you have got alot of cold snowy weather this year. I bet you can't wait to get back to the water and the warmth :) those hurricanes can be nasty to a poor boat. We lucked out and only got a scratch from Ike but most of the other boats didn't fair so well. Really only two of us made it out without a sctratch and we stayed and tended the lines.

I am sure everyone would love copies and if we all pitch in the cost shouldn't be much.

THE ROSTER

Muf, our Keeper of the Roster, has updated it.  But he still needs information on boats out there that he doesn't have, like new owners, old owners, where any of the boats are.  We don't post the roster on the web site, it is only sent to owners.  Please send him anything you might have, or call him at:

Captain Clyde's Newporter  sites:

newporters.blogspot.com

and

newporter.ning.com

The Ning site has been given a reprieve.   I have  transferred my Ning site to the blogspot site and will leave it there. I am keeping my Ning site open as a home for my photos and drawings.

Many of my photos there do not relate to Newporters, but a search through my collection may prove useful for your studies.

My drawings are not accurate in many respects as a result of the PAINT program used to draw them, There is no accurate scale and at best they are only useful to indicate some specific detail.  Some are inaccurate because of my poor memory.  Use them to help you think, not as a detailed presentation of the subject matter.

If any of you want to start a web site I suggest you remember what has happened to both my Ning site and this site (which is a Ning site) and remember that my Blogspot site is free and Blogspot's owner (Google) has promised to keep it that way.

Clyde's email:

camgphil@msn.com

Put 'Newporter' on Subject Line.  Email is the best way to contact me.  I do not regularly look at this site or its messaging system.  Email will get to me post-haste.
