This is George Henderson, owner of "Faith," Hull #69 located in the Boston area. Just letting the community know that she is on the market since I now live in CO. Makes me sad but I'd like to see her legacy continue. If you know of a potential buyer I can be reached at georgehenderson.usa@gmail.com / 857-221-1581. She is in great condition and has been lovingly restored. There are pics on my members' page and a link to a Google Drive folder is below, where you will find pics and a survey.
Yes Kathi and her husband put up with me when we first got the boat. I must have drove them nuts lol. They have a wonderful story and their boat is beautiful. Well I'm kind of stuck on Newporters and they are all great boats.
One thing a like is the owners all have stories and no other boats have the history or love as the Newporter.
this site sends response to your email address as well as on here. I never used this kind of thing before so I'll be fumbling along myself hehe. I tried the google site but I never could get things to work right. This one is way easier.
yea, i am running back and forth trying to figure out where things happen -seems kind of disjointed but i am sure i will habituate - did you check out any of the forums?
hey, by the way, on the backwashes of the tennessee river at scottsboro on guntersville reservoir i pay $70 a month -pretty secure and clean - electricity. It is cheap even for here. I am wondering when the dream will end.
hey - if i click on comment i can be in the conversation - so anyone on the site that wants to follow and participate can. This is my first social network - kind of bazarr - so i assume you guys have history.
hehe I pay 395.00 where she is now. It is a nice nice marina though and gated so we don't have to worry about people stealing or getting on Moonfleet now. Seeings how we are now 140 miles away from her that is worth the money.
I hate writing that check. We moved Moonfleet to a new marina, price went up lol. We can't find anywhere to drydock here for a few years and that price went up to 1800 a month. We are having troubles with the bilge but not too much we can do about it till we get her out and see where the water is coming from.
Muf, our Keeper of the Roster, has updated it. But he still needs information on boats out there that he doesn't have, like new owners, old owners, where any of the boats are. We don't post the roster on the web site, it is only sent to owners. Please send him anything you might have, or call him at:
The Ning site has been given a reprieve. I have transferred my Ning site to the blogspot site and will leave it there. I am keeping my Ning site open as a home for my photos and drawings.
Many of my photos there do not relate to Newporters, but a search through my collection may prove useful for your studies.
My drawings are not accurate in many respects as a result of the PAINT program used to draw them, There is no accurate scale and at best they are only useful to indicate some specific detail. Some are inaccurate because of my poor memory. Use them to help you think, not as a detailed presentation of the subject matter.
If any of you want to start a web site I suggest you remember what has happened to both my Ning site and this site (which is a Ning site) and remember that my Blogspot site is free and Blogspot's owner (Google) has promised to keep it that way.
Put 'Newporter' on Subject Line. Email is the best way to contact me. I do not regularly look at this site or its messaging system. Email will get to me post-haste.
