a beautiful boat should sail forever.

Hi everyone,

Someone suggested I get back on this site and maybe do a story of Moonfleet and what she meant to us.  I decided he may be right and what a story she can tell.  I'll try to fill in as much as I know and have been told.  You have to understand as soon as we saw Moonfleet on the broker's website we were done looking for a sailboat.  this story will be her's and our together which if should could talk Moonfleet would smile about.

Before I begin understand my hands get ahead of my brain.  I'd say my brain gets ahead of my brain but that would be way too normal hehe  I'll try to keep typos and backwards typing to a small amounts  I hope :)  I hated english and writing but math I did straight in that.  don't ask were a period goes but give me a major algebra question I'll have the answer in minutes.

I was wondering whether to start from Moonfleet life or our's.  I have decided that Moonfleet and our's are all the same.  without us she would have lost her life in hurricane Ike and without her's we would have lost our's in the same storm.  So we start at the beginnings of our dream of a sailboat ( Well not mine as it start at 15 years old, that would make a long boring story).

If anyone has a question that was unclear ask  and I'll try to fill in the blanks.  Those questions will probably missed a plac I didn't make clear so you will answers others questions  or as the texters say the wth :)

ories of love, of hope, of omg what have we bought

But most of all I want to give my greatest thanks to Bob and Clyde who walk me thru stupid and major.   Also to all that reach out to a random email about " Hey you have a Newporter".  I could never thank all of you enough or ever pass enough hugs around.  I'll never forget those early folks and how they put up with me and told stories that made my heart soar.   There were stories of love, of hope, of omg what have we bought and forever the love of the Newporter.  You'll always been in my heart and my prayers.  I'll always remeber the stories for better or worse :)  For those I've emailed and talked to on the phone,  I'll never forget you either.  Each of you had a part in our dream come true, each part will always be a part of every fiber of my being.

So that said I will begin.  I think I'll set it as parts.

THE ROSTER

Muf, our Keeper of the Roster, has updated it.  But he still needs information on boats out there that he doesn't have, like new owners, old owners, where any of the boats are.  We don't post the roster on the web site, it is only sent to owners.  Please send him anything you might have, or call him at:

Captain Clyde's Newporter  sites:

newporters.blogspot.com

and

newporter.ning.com

The Ning site has been given a reprieve.   I have  transferred my Ning site to the blogspot site and will leave it there. I am keeping my Ning site open as a home for my photos and drawings.

Many of my photos there do not relate to Newporters, but a search through my collection may prove useful for your studies.

My drawings are not accurate in many respects as a result of the PAINT program used to draw them, There is no accurate scale and at best they are only useful to indicate some specific detail.  Some are inaccurate because of my poor memory.  Use them to help you think, not as a detailed presentation of the subject matter.

If any of you want to start a web site I suggest you remember what has happened to both my Ning site and this site (which is a Ning site) and remember that my Blogspot site is free and Blogspot's owner (Google) has promised to keep it that way.

Put 'Newporter' on Subject Line.  Email is the best way to contact me.  I do not regularly look at this site or its messaging system.  Email will get to me post-haste.
