I think you missed the galley in the doghouse, but you got most of her. That's one feature I really like. I would configure my interior to have the same. It puts my first mate/cook in the place with the most visibility and in sight of the skipper so we can be in each others presence while the cooking is done and we can eat off shore together while the boat sailed on autopilot. I always thought that the Newporter is a fine boat for two people and I would rig mine as such.
Your boat is all Newporter, proving you can take the new out of her but not the Newporter. If anyone knows a Newporter like a lot of us do, they will know that Pink is a Newporter from miles away regardless of its rig. I think old Ack would like Pink. I think of her as maybe the best hard-going-off-shore-sailor, with its sail area in so many reasonably small areas that allow for a short handed crew (two) to handle with ease and without worry as the storms approach. The fact that the main boom is all inboard makes for safe handling in the event of hard winds, large swells and short chop. It has recently become clear to me that Ack didn't just design and build the best of boats, he so designed them to be the best base for personalizing to the dream of the current owner. I think, based on what I see, that Pink started out as a ketch. She has obvious signs of Ketchhood about her. But she sails the sea as a first class schooner and I for one am happy that you and Pink got together. She needed you! I can't think of a more likely combination, and that includes Jan. Thanks for being a part of us.

You don't have to be concerned how I feel about changes to a Newporter. That door is a good idea well done. The standard door (when I was building them) was a bi-fold that hooked open (and unfloppable) up against the mizzen mast. You don't have a mizzen; your mast placement is not standard; your rig is far from standard, so an "un-standard" door puts your boat no farther "down the list" (if there is such a list). In fact, think of it, the Newporter was a new design in a traditional style using cutting edge (at the time) technology. That's all you are doing now. It looks good, and right.
But look what you did to the steering station! I've sailed a lot of Newporters and even I, at over six feet tall, had trouble seeing over the doghouse. I even designed two "cures" for that. But never, in even my best moments, did I ever think of putting the station where you did. I must say "Wow!" What a view you'll have from that station! You really opened up the cockpit in the process.

The Ning site has been given a reprieve. I have transferred my Ning site to the blogspot site and will leave it there. I am keeping my Ning site open as a home for my photos and drawings.
Many of my photos there do not relate to Newporters, but a search through my collection may prove useful for your studies.
My drawings are not accurate in many respects as a result of the PAINT program used to draw them, There is no accurate scale and at best they are only useful to indicate some specific detail. Some are inaccurate because of my poor memory. Use them to help you think, not as a detailed presentation of the subject matter.
If any of you want to start a web site I suggest you remember what has happened to both my Ning site and this site (which is a Ning site) and remember that my Blogspot site is free and Blogspot's owner (Google) has promised to keep it that way.
