Pinkcloud is hull 53.  I understood that part,  not sure about " leave a note at web site address"  never sure if im using this site correctly?  But I do so my pics,  so I guess its ok.

Glad to be a part,,  Pretty amazing to me how many I have just run across.  The nice one I shared in my home marina Ala Wai harbor in Honolulu " golden wind"  and now " owl heart" here in berkeley,  both in excellent condition, and i just spotted when ride my bike around.  !  Makes me happy see such old beauties still looking Bristol and cruising !

The hull number is the number on the little golden eagle mounted on the pilot house bulkhead. There were 124 Newporters made. My hull is 113. Not sure what your hull number is - but could look it up on roster

Very interesting. Two Newporters in one marina and each so unique and with rigs that I find intriguing.  I have already put in my two cents worth about your stays’l schooner.  But this one, with its vertical furling mains’l and raised mizzen boom crutch (raised, possibly, to clear a wind vane steering rig) has enough added features beyond the “standard” Newporter to keep up my interest for some time.  She is pretty—thanks for the report.

website address?  what do you mean?  I will try to meet the owner,  she sits on the other side of Berekely Marina from my 40 slip.  But a neighbor there said they live on her, so are around.

NEVER HAVE - IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU COULD GET A HULL NUMBER, OR LEAVE A NOTE WITH THE WEBSITE ADDRESS.

THE ROSTER

Muf, our Keeper of the Roster, has updated it.  But he still needs information on boats out there that he doesn't have, like new owners, old owners, where any of the boats are.  We don't post the roster on the web site, it is only sent to owners.  Please send him anything you might have, or call him at:

Captain Clyde's Newporter  sites:

newporters.blogspot.com

and

newporter.ning.com

The Ning site has been given a reprieve.   I have  transferred my Ning site to the blogspot site and will leave it there. I am keeping my Ning site open as a home for my photos and drawings.

Many of my photos there do not relate to Newporters, but a search through my collection may prove useful for your studies.

My drawings are not accurate in many respects as a result of the PAINT program used to draw them, There is no accurate scale and at best they are only useful to indicate some specific detail.  Some are inaccurate because of my poor memory.  Use them to help you think, not as a detailed presentation of the subject matter.

If any of you want to start a web site I suggest you remember what has happened to both my Ning site and this site (which is a Ning site) and remember that my Blogspot site is free and Blogspot's owner (Google) has promised to keep it that way.

Put 'Newporter' on Subject Line.  Email is the best way to contact me.  I do not regularly look at this site or its messaging system.  Email will get to me post-haste.
