my kids set me up on facebook and I still don't get it. So, this may take a bit, but since I am at a computer all day and work is slow today, I will experiement. Gosh wish these things had spell check.
I keep getting your posts in my gmail accout. Then I click on that and see all you have sent me. Where are mine? I am answering yours and you are responding but like you, I am all over the place. Guess it takes time.

yea it was a nice day on the morgan. I lived here as a kid grew up in dinner key on a 46 Wharram Cat named Akaroa. anyway I found my way back after 18 years and I now I have two sailboats and am currently working on a Newporter 40. restoration from the ground up
I am, with Friends. the new owner of the Newporter 40 " Solace" before
cruising in the Carriibian; I know little about the Boat and Solace she
was made in 1969 where ? I need information, and in the following days
I will publish some phothos.Solaceis now in Marina di Pisa Italy.
Nice to meet you in the air.
Hi Bob, I'm unhappy that Etoile, Hull #10, needs help but delighted I made contact with you and introduced Greg. He is so much better than me at the computer and fixing Etoile. You invited me in October 2009 and now I am your friend.
Cheers, Marion
i had some trouble on the NIng site, asking for newporter 40 together. they said there was no such group. perhaps it's case sensitive, as i generally don't use caps.
i'll be going thru all the posts before long. thanks for doing all the work for us.
am joining the Newporter 40 owners group by sending check to seller, today!
based in LA harbor. will post some photos as time goes by.
the check is written.
i learned to sail, racing solings on long island sound in the late '60's.
came to southern cal in 1979, sailed pearsons until about 2000, then went to power boats.
we (teri and i) are taking on a good bones/bad cosmetics/ and basically no head, shower, or holding tank project. i should have some good photos for our refurb, to post.
btw, i need a port hole/port light, as one is missing. am planning to cover the opening in plexiglass until i find the real thing.
in fact we bought the hull 47 back on the first day of june, 2010, some 35 days ago.
we are having the inside redone, as there was virtually no head, sink, shower, holding tank etc. lots of other challenges from a boat neglected for many years.
she'll be used mostly for going to catalina island during the summer weekends
Bob, I really would like to speak with you, it's fairly urgent, about my rudder heel bearing... I have to cross an ocean in 2 months.. Mleibole@gmail.com
