After filling all 3 water tanks and adding 75 gallons of fuel, I found that Dudheen was listing a degree or two to port. My first thought is that perhaps stowing all the block, tackle and dissembled…Continue

THE ROSTER
Muf, our Keeper of the Roster, has updated it. But he still needs information on boats out there that he doesn't have, like new owners, old owners, where any of the boats are. We don't post the roster on the web site, it is only sent to owners. Please send him anything you might have, or call him at:

Captain Clyde's Newporter sites:
and
The Ning site has been given a reprieve. I have transferred my Ning site to the blogspot site and will leave it there. I am keeping my Ning site open as a home for my photos and drawings.
Many of my photos there do not relate to Newporters, but a search through my collection may prove useful for your studies.
My drawings are not accurate in many respects as a result of the PAINT program used to draw them, There is no accurate scale and at best they are only useful to indicate some specific detail. Some are inaccurate because of my poor memory. Use them to help you think, not as a detailed presentation of the subject matter.
If any of you want to start a web site I suggest you remember what has happened to both my Ning site and this site (which is a Ning site) and remember that my Blogspot site is free and Blogspot's owner (Google) has promised to keep it that way.
Clyde's email:
Put 'Newporter' on Subject Line. Email is the best way to contact me. I do not regularly look at this site or its messaging system. Email will get to me post-haste.

This is George Henderson, owner of "Faith," Hull #69 located in the Boston area. Just letting the community know that she is on the market since I now live in CO. She is priced to sell and comes with an as-new inflatable dingy, outboard, second set of sails and loads of gear.
Makes me sad but I'd like to see her legacy continue. If you know of a potential buyer I can be reached at georgehenderson.usa@gmail.com / 857-221-1581. She is in great condition and has been lovingly restored. There are pics on my members' page and a link to a Google Drive folder is below, where you will find pics and a survey.

Paul, Welcome aboard. Hope your efforts to get Dudheen go well. I remember when we built that one. The first owner's Mother's favorite poem, or song, was "My Little Dudheen" so the boat was named to honor his mother. A copy of the poem was framed and hung on the port forward bulkhead in the main cabin. Is it still aboard?
I hope she's in good shape. But remember, Bob, this site's owner and administrator, is completely rebuilding a Newporter that when he bought her she was the worst accumulation of bad wood I've ever seen. He has her under control and will soon launch an almost completely new vessel, and this he did almost completely by himself. Be sure to study this site, and remember, ask questions here and you will get answers. Make a good decision on its purchase and buy within your abilities. Peace, Clyde
