Scrolly-thingie rennovation, part II

As you can see the white paint had cracks. This factored heavilly in my decision to do rustic. Also, like I said, if they looked really new everything nearby would look terrible.I did just the…Continue

What are the decorative strips under the bowsprit called?

Oh, well. I re-did mine so I thought I'd share the project with you. Please do not ask why this was a priority. It wasn't, but I did it anyhow. I was sick of the ugly beige coloring.(Photo 1) I was…Continue

Comfotably lost on the island, with internet but no phone...

Ever since I saw Blue Lagoon, I've wanted to be lost on an island. I thought about contacting Brooke Shields to see if she wants to join me, but I haven't aged as well as she, so it's unlikely. I'm…Continue

Single handed from Port Ludlow to Port Orchard. Saw dolphins for the second time this trip (always a good sign.) Little bit of everything weather wise. Just me and Cruiser. I pulled in to P/O and a friend was on shore. I was sitting on the bow. He didn't know I had a remote for the auto pilot. I went close to shore, then did a 360 and resumed direction. He's… Continue

This is George Henderson, owner of "Faith," Hull #69 located in the Boston area. Just letting the community know that she is on the market since I now live in CO. She is priced to sell. Makes me sad but I'd like to see her legacy continue. If you know of a potential buyer I can be reached at georgehenderson.usa@gmail.com / 857-221-1581. She is in great condition and has been lovingly restored. There are pics on my members' page and a link to a Google Drive folder is below, where you will find pics and a survey.

FANTASTIC - Always good to have a new member and locate the wherebouts of a Newporter! If you will post the hull number (on the medallion on starboard front pilot house wall) we can probably come up with some boat history, at least the original owner. If you need any help with the site just ask ! I sent this message as well by Send Message, so if you look to upper right you will see "inbox" has one message in it - click to open - and you can click on any member to send them messages. Got a name for the boat?

THE ROSTER

Muf, our Keeper of the Roster, has updated it.  But he still needs information on boats out there that he doesn't have, like new owners, old owners, where any of the boats are.  We don't post the roster on the web site, it is only sent to owners.  Please send him anything you might have, or call him at:

Captain Clyde's Newporter  sites:

newporters.blogspot.com

and

newporter.ning.com

The Ning site has been given a reprieve.   I have  transferred my Ning site to the blogspot site and will leave it there. I am keeping my Ning site open as a home for my photos and drawings.

Many of my photos there do not relate to Newporters, but a search through my collection may prove useful for your studies.

My drawings are not accurate in many respects as a result of the PAINT program used to draw them, There is no accurate scale and at best they are only useful to indicate some specific detail.  Some are inaccurate because of my poor memory.  Use them to help you think, not as a detailed presentation of the subject matter.

If any of you want to start a web site I suggest you remember what has happened to both my Ning site and this site (which is a Ning site) and remember that my Blogspot site is free and Blogspot's owner (Google) has promised to keep it that way.

Clyde's email:

camgphil@msn.com

Put 'Newporter' on Subject Line.  Email is the best way to contact me.  I do not regularly look at this site or its messaging system.  Email will get to me post-haste.
