THE ROSTER
Muf, our Keeper of the Roster, has updated it. But he still needs information on boats out there that he doesn't have, like new owners, old owners, where any of the boats are. We don't post the roster on the web site, it is only sent to owners. Please send him anything you might have, or call him at:

Captain Clyde's Newporter sites:
and
The Ning site has been given a reprieve. I have transferred my Ning site to the blogspot site and will leave it there. I am keeping my Ning site open as a home for my photos and drawings.
Many of my photos there do not relate to Newporters, but a search through my collection may prove useful for your studies.
My drawings are not accurate in many respects as a result of the PAINT program used to draw them, There is no accurate scale and at best they are only useful to indicate some specific detail. Some are inaccurate because of my poor memory. Use them to help you think, not as a detailed presentation of the subject matter.
If any of you want to start a web site I suggest you remember what has happened to both my Ning site and this site (which is a Ning site) and remember that my Blogspot site is free and Blogspot's owner (Google) has promised to keep it that way.
Clyde's email:
Put 'Newporter' on Subject Line. Email is the best way to contact me. I do not regularly look at this site or its messaging system. Email will get to me post-haste.

This is George Henderson, owner of "Faith," Hull #69 located in the Boston area. Just letting the community know that she is on the market since I now live in CO. She is priced to sell and comes with an as-new inflatable dingy, outboard, second set of sails and loads of gear.
Makes me sad but I'd like to see her legacy continue. If you know of a potential buyer I can be reached at georgehenderson.usa@gmail.com / 857-221-1581. She is in great condition and has been lovingly restored. There are pics on my members' page and a link to a Google Drive folder is below, where you will find pics and a survey.

Malcom welcome to the site. Send pictures of your boat, from what you said about her very interesting.
Malcom, Wow, what a place to own a Newporter! That's a great destination for the mainlanders who are looking for a place to go. Those of us on the east coast rarely even think about crossing a part of the Pacific because it seems almost out of reach, and there you are. What I call my home waters is bracketed by Point Lookout in the Lower Chesapeake to the Woods Hole/Vineyard Haven area to the north, with my home port about in the middle on the Jersey side of the Delaware Bay, specifically on the Maurice River where we built the East Coast Newporters. I sailed about twenty of those boats during my days with the two shipyards and one boat shop that built them here. You folks who are still sailing them help me to keep my memory alive and that's real helpful for an old man like me! Thanks.
Peace, Clyde
