Muf,
Thanks for you hunt for the DVD; it reminded me that I have it (this old body in which I live has a short memory).  My recollection is that whoever sent it to me was going to get back to me the name and address of the next viewer (these details I remember, who it was is lost forever).  That person must also have a short memory because I never got a reply and thus forgot the whole setup.  I am going to put a card in the box with your email address and a note to record their name as the last viewer and to whom they are sending it, and to send you via email the name and address of its next viewer.  That way (once I send it out) you will always know where it is.  It’s only fair that we take on that obligation so that you will not lose track of where it is (or is going).
So, I now have it, thank you for making it available, and will wait to hear from you about where to send it.  Again, many thanks, and . . . .
Peace,
    Clyde

This is MISTRI leaving Alamitos Bay, Long Beach, CA.  Very windy day (25 to 35kn) so just sailed under power. I am trying to get the roster up to date.  A lot of boats have gone to the scrapers in the last two years, and a lot have changed owners.  If all you new owners could call me and give me your info on yourselfs and your boats it would help.  We have some great boats.    MUF  909 561 4245  or gmuf48@aol.com

Oh by the way does anyone know where my copy of "My Blood Runs Cold" is.  Keep it moving.

Also just downloaded onto my Kindel "The Cruising Life" by Jim Trefethen, he had a Newporter for 14 years.  Don't know if it is good, but its about a Newporter.

THE ROSTER

Muf, our Keeper of the Roster, has updated it.  But he still needs information on boats out there that he doesn't have, like new owners, old owners, where any of the boats are.  We don't post the roster on the web site, it is only sent to owners.  Please send him anything you might have, or call him at:

Captain Clyde's Newporter  sites:

newporters.blogspot.com

and

newporter.ning.com

The Ning site has been given a reprieve.   I have  transferred my Ning site to the blogspot site and will leave it there. I am keeping my Ning site open as a home for my photos and drawings.

Many of my photos there do not relate to Newporters, but a search through my collection may prove useful for your studies.

My drawings are not accurate in many respects as a result of the PAINT program used to draw them, There is no accurate scale and at best they are only useful to indicate some specific detail.  Some are inaccurate because of my poor memory.  Use them to help you think, not as a detailed presentation of the subject matter.

If any of you want to start a web site I suggest you remember what has happened to both my Ning site and this site (which is a Ning site) and remember that my Blogspot site is free and Blogspot's owner (Google) has promised to keep it that way.

Put 'Newporter' on Subject Line.  Email is the best way to contact me.  I do not regularly look at this site or its messaging system.  Email will get to me post-haste.
