This is George Henderson, owner of "Faith," Hull #69 located in the Boston area. Just letting the community know that she is on the market since I now live in CO. Makes me sad but I'd like to see her legacy continue. If you know of a potential buyer I can be reached at georgehenderson.usa@gmail.com / 857-221-1581. She is in great condition and has been lovingly restored. There are pics on my members' page and a link to a Google Drive folder is below, where you will find pics and a survey.

Jasper and Karen, I am upgrading the roster for 2014 and have some questions about your boat and its former owners.  Could you give me a call 909 561 4245.  Also could you send some water to dry So. Calif.  you get all the rain and snow.

Karen and Jasper,

Thanks for your blog. It was what I needed to get me into these things. If it weren't for your I may not have boarded this one, so yours got me here, even though it was Justine who introduced me. I'm glad you added some of your pictures--they are a real addition to the growing number of pictures here, and I'm sure those who are "up to here" in their own projects really appreciate them. Me, I just love pictures of Newporters. Reminds me of the old days.

Peace,

Clyde

I will take a couple of pictures of the door and send them to you. My door is hinged lengthwise in the middle so it is out of the way while sailing. I have thought about replacing it some time with a dutch type door that is water tight. I have always worried about going off shore and getting the cockpit full with a wave. A dutch door that was water tight on the bottom would prevent a wave from flooding into the interior. I have made almost everything else water tight.

THE ROSTER

Muf, our Keeper of the Roster, has updated it.  But he still needs information on boats out there that he doesn't have, like new owners, old owners, where any of the boats are.  We don't post the roster on the web site, it is only sent to owners.  Please send him anything you might have, or call him at:

Captain Clyde's Newporter  sites:

newporters.blogspot.com

and

newporter.ning.com

The Ning site has been given a reprieve.   I have  transferred my Ning site to the blogspot site and will leave it there. I am keeping my Ning site open as a home for my photos and drawings.

Many of my photos there do not relate to Newporters, but a search through my collection may prove useful for your studies.

My drawings are not accurate in many respects as a result of the PAINT program used to draw them, There is no accurate scale and at best they are only useful to indicate some specific detail.  Some are inaccurate because of my poor memory.  Use them to help you think, not as a detailed presentation of the subject matter.

If any of you want to start a web site I suggest you remember what has happened to both my Ning site and this site (which is a Ning site) and remember that my Blogspot site is free and Blogspot's owner (Google) has promised to keep it that way.

Put 'Newporter' on Subject Line.  Email is the best way to contact me.  I do not regularly look at this site or its messaging system.  Email will get to me post-haste.
