After many weeks of prep, finally to the point of getting some paint on. Notice the "new" trail boards, I found them on Craigslist years ago and had them saved for our old Newporter "Grace"
The brightwork was too far gone to finish clear and not that I wanted all that varnish to maintain anyway, so we are painting the trim areas with Pettit EZpoxy Burgundy color. I used to use EZpoxy Brightwork brown on "Grace" but it's no longer available I actually like this color better, from a distance it looks like a red mahogany color.
It's the same color they used on "Driftwood" a Newporter 40 that was here in Morro bay last year, Rock Hudsons old boat.
